Benefits: Mercy Corps and America's Second Harvest.
Amount:  Varies and no longer states in the FAQ how much.  Generally averages between 1 and 3 cups of food per day. Of the money donated, no more than 25% goes for a "hosting fee" for the site, but that is calculated up front "so that 100% of the amount of food appearing on the Thank You page after you click does indeed go to The Hunger Site beneficiaries."

One of four linked "Race for..." sites from Care2.com, a company targeting the "light-green consumer market."  This site currently allows choosing one of three different habitats, the rainforest, marine wetlands, or American prairie.  Users may sign up for the race and track their own statistics plus those of others who join at their invitation, but joining is not necessary for donating.
Benefits: The Nature Conservancy's Adopt an Acre Program.
Amount:  Approximately 6.4 square feet of rain forest are protected per sponsor (roughly $0.005 per click).

All monies from sponsorships generated on EcologyFund go to purchase and protect wild lands."   Usually supports between seven and ten different worldwide environmental projects, sponsors for which are listed on the front page with the project title.  Examples include saving Amazon Basin rain forest, protecting endangered Mexican wildlife, preserving U.S. wilderness lands.
